We’re BIRDI👋 the scalable aerial intelligence platform. We empower operations teams with up-to-date, relevant insights of their sites and assets - captured by our drone pilot network and visualised within our easy-to-use platform - all without our users having to leave their desk.

Our goal is to be the leading aerial intelligence platform across the globe. We’ve got some exciting things on the horizon (new branding, products and more), and we’d love to have you on the journey with us!

We’re an Aussie tech startup ramping up growth and we’re looking for a part-time (3 days per week) Marketing Assistant to join our fully remote team. We need someone passionate about producing high quality marketing content and collateral, who can boost BIRDI’s brand awareness and domain leadership within the market.

What you will do

Working closely with the marketing team, you will:

  • Take ownership of our content marketing calendar, and plan content topics using a pillar page content strategy
  • Write relevant and interesting blog content weekly/fortnightly, that resonates with our target audience and promotes SEO
  • Produce EDMs that go out to our email audience weekly/fortnightly
  • Take ownership of our organic social media strategy and implementation
  • Produce relevant and engaging content to be shared across our social media channels, to boost brand awareness and engagement
  • Produce email drip campaigns for lead nurturing
  • Craft ad copy and collateral across Google search and display ads, and paid ads across our social media channels
  • Own our content and social media metrics, optimise and drive them for success
  • Be involved in other, relevant marketing activities
  • Try new things, problem-solve and figure out how to make BIRDI’s marketing really shine!

Your background/experience

You will have:

  • The ability to translate information that is a little bit technical (we’re about drones, GIS and aerial intelligence!) into something everyone can understand
  • Experience in content writing - with a number of blogs and other content you have produced under your belt
  • Experience in social media content creation, advertising and management for a business page
  • Skills in Canva, Photoshop or similar - so you can create visually appealing collateral
  • Understanding of SEO principles and practices
  • Relevant study/qualifications in marketing/related field (but we know these don’t always reflect your current skill-set, so we’ll also accept a great story of how your quals have gotten you to this point in your career)
  • A can-do attitude and drive to figure things out and optimise
  • Working rights in Australia, and you will live in Australia
