We’re an Aussie tech startup ramping up growth and we’re looking for a Javascript Developer to join our fully remote team.

The role

As a JavaScript Developer, you will be working in the BIRDI development team to plan and contribute to a new geospatial cloud platform, building greenfield features and improving existing experience. You will also get exposure to distributed systems and infrastructure.


The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

  • Demonstrate ability to develop complex front-end interfaces
  • Specific experience with ReactJS, Typescript
  • NodeJS application development
  • Strong understanding of modern web protocols
  • Some familiarity with AWS or other cloud environments.
  • Test driven development
  • End to end front-end testing

Exposure to or interest in some of the following areas are highly desirable:

  • Linux
  • Geospatial sciences & technology
  • Modern DevOps stack specifically: Kubernetes, Hashicorp Vault, Terraform, OpenTelemetry
  • Implementing Continuous Integration pipelines
  • PostgreSQL, PostGis
  • Redis
  • Kafka

The remuneration for this role will be a base salary & superannuation.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $82,521.00 – $130,000.00 per year
