BIRDI is Australia’s leading drone platform. The BIRDI platform enables any operator to leverage the insights provided by drone data and simplifies drone integration by enabling any user to plan a flight, organise a pilot, manage data and gather insights. Our customers can manage one asset, or an entire portfolio, within one web platform and mobile app. As a result of growth and strategic expansion, our in house development team are looking to hire a mid to Senior Front End Developer to help drive our platform forward.


  • Contributing to the development of new and existing product features from design concept through to build, test and launch.

  • Contributing to the creation of UX deliverables including task flows, prototypes, wireframes and mock-ups.

  • Contributing to and helping to formalise a nascent design system.

  • Maintaining and improving existing mono-repo tooling, tests and structure.

  • Mentor developers across the front-end.


  • Demonstrate a high degree of competency in Vanilla JS & React.

  • Demonstrates UI design literacy.

  • Proven body of front-end work.

  • Familiar with state management patterns including Redux, Mobx.

  • Demonstrates a good understanding of current and future web technologies, performance and security.

  • Track record of success in managing remote or contract workers.

  • Comfortable working collaboratively.

Our development team at BIRDI is a small, tight-knit and collaborative team with a smooth development pipeline and regular deployments. You will be contributing to a young project using new and robust modern web-dev practices & technologies (React, NodeJS, Typescript, Golang, Webpack, Websockets, PWAs, Kubernetes, Terraform, PostgreSQL etc).
